The 87 Initiatives' mission is to uplift the education of children in Sri Lanka. Founded in 2009, we work with children in underprivileged and underserved communities to ensure they have consistent access to quality education. Our belief is that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty; uplifting an individual, uplifts their family, which in turn uplifts the community.

We enhance education and character development in Sri Lanka's North East and Upcountry, empowering children with knowledge, skills, and values for success.
We help children break the cycle of poverty by empowering them to dream, aspire, and achieve through education, mentorship, guidance, and lifelong learning opportunities.

Through the generosity of our supporters and partners, we were able to provide financial assistance and other resources to 490 school students and 560 university students.
